After Action Report from the Winter Warfare Shoot in the Alps
Last weekend CHRIS BRAVO MEDIA, together with Ripperkon and Sierra Aros, successfully conducted another large-scale winter production in Austria. The focus of the project was clear from the beginning: creating authentic visual content around winter warfare environments and cold weather operational equipment for partners from the defense and tactical industry.

The Austrian Alps once again proved to be the perfect environment for such a production. High alpine ridgelines, sub-alpine forests, deep snow and constantly changing weather conditions created a natural operational backdrop that simply cannot be replicated in a studio setting.

For companies developing equipment designed for harsh environments, realistic terrain and weather are essential elements when it comes to showcasing performance, reliability and functionality.

During the production weekend, multiple scenario-based setups were executed to capture authentic imagery and video material. The goal was to recreate operational environments that reflect real-world conditions where cold weather equipment is expected to perform — whether in mountainous terrain, winter patrol scenarios or alpine mobility situations.

The production involved a wide range of equipment categories from participating partners within the defense and tactical gear industry. Cold weather clothing, tactical gloves, load-bearing equipment and complete mission setups were integrated into the different scenarios to create visually compelling and operationally authentic content.

Projects like this highlight the importance of combining real environments, experienced teams and high-quality visual production. When terrain, weather and professional execution come together, the result is content that resonates with both industry professionals and end users.

For CHRIS BRAVO MEDIA, productions like these are a core part of our approach: creating realistic, high-end visual content that presents products in the environments they were designed for.

We would like to sincerely thank all participating companies and partners who trusted us with their equipment and supported the production.
With the field work completed, the project now moves into the post-production phase. The team is currently working on selecting and editing the final imagery and video material captured during the shooting.
Based on what we have seen so far, this production delivered exactly what we were aiming for: authentic winter warfare visuals set in one of the most impressive environments Europe has to offer.
Stay tuned — the final results from the Austrian Alps will be released soon.
